End of May update

As we come towards the end of May we see a whole host of English produce coming in. English peas are now in, as are English New Potatoes with varieties from Kent, Cornwall, Rufford and Jersey. All English potatoes have now fallen in price and we are in the prime of the season so this is a good time to order some.

Peaches and Nectarines have now arrived and have already fallen in price from 59p to 39p. We are also eagerly anticipating the first of the new season Plums from Spain, watch out for the Santa Rosa variety that we consider the best.

English Asparagus is moving towards the end of its season with prices expected to rise.

Due to the rainy weather we have experienced lately the English Strawberries are enjoying a bumper crop and are plentiful and an excellent flavour.
